Welcome!
Hey there, Flexperts!
The average new hire in 2025 was 42 years old. Here's what surprised me: companies are hiring workers 65+ at rates up 80% since 2019, while hiring for workers under 25 dropped 45%.
If you're over 40 and 1) left the workforce 2) ready to pivot 3) just flat out feeling hopeless...
Let’s dive inot today’s new findings.

WORKPLACE TECH
Sr. Solutions Architect (CRM / HRIS) — 3-Month Contract
This is a short, high-trust consulting engagement for someone who’s already operated at the intersection of HR tech, integrations, and enterprise implementations.
What matters:
Deep, hands-on experience with enterprise HR / ATS platforms (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, Avature, SmartRecruiters, etc.) and complex integrations
A consulting mindset
Enough technical fluency to get into SQL, JSON, cXML, integrations, and security concepts without needing to be a full-time engineer
CONSIUMER GOODS
Temporary Natural Channel Project Manager
This is a true coordination + information-flow role. The right person is someone who likes high-volume inboxes, good at translating noise into action, and comfortable keeping multiple brands moving in sync.
What stands out / what to know:
You’re acting as the central nerve center for natural channel communications across four brands (OLLY, SPV, Onnit, Welly)
Heavy emphasis on organizing, tracking, and following up — meetings, timelines, owners, next steps
Strong SharePoint hygiene matters here; this isn’t a “figure it out later” environment
Practical use of AI tools to classify and summarize docs is a plus
Good fit if you:
Have PM or ops experience supporting Sales or channel teams
Want a defined Jan–March, full-time contract
CREATOR ECONOMY
Contract Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online)
This is a low-hour, long-term bookkeeping seat built for someone who already supports multiple clients and wants a clean, predictable monthly retainer.
Good fit if you:
Are fluent in QBO + CSV imports and don’t need hand-holding
Already manage Stripe, PayPal, Brex, and Gusto across other clients
Prefer small hours, high trust, long runway work over scaling chaos
Need-to-know:
~$750/month
~5–10 hours/month
1099, ongoing
MUNICIPAL FINANCE
Municipal Financial Expert (Contract)
This one stood out because it’s a live validation sprint backed by Huntington Bank to pressure-test a new municipal cash-forecasting product before it exists.
What actually matters here:
3-month design-partner engagement, 1099
You’re building Excel-first forecasting models municipalities can trust enough to move real cash into higher-yield accounts
What else stood out:
Named banking partner (Huntington) validating alongside real municipalities
2–3 design partners already identified
Clear output: models, documented data access realities, approval bottlenecks, and what breaks at scale
WEB3
Ecosystem Partner Marketing Manager (W2 FT)
Need to know:
You own co-marketing with actual chain partners (Solana, Base, Optimism)
Success is tied to partner-sourced pipeline
Heavy coordination across Product, Growth, Events, and Sales
Clear push into AI x Web3 narratives
Need to know:
Salary range: $116K–$145K + bonus
Fully remote (US or Portugal)
PROCUREMENT
Category Manager (W2 Full Time)
What’s worth noticing:
Real ownership of contract categories end-to-end
Explicit emphasis on GPO experience
You’re the contractual authority on high-dollar, high-complexity bids
This fits best if you’ve already:
Worked inside environments that use GPO frameworks (healthcare, public sector, large enterprise procurement)
SPORTS MEDIA
Live Reporter (Contract)
What stands out:
You’re producing real-time live blogs tied to breaking sports news
Heavy collaboration with national writers and editors, often writing in someone else’s voice
Need to know:
6-month contract (coverage for leave)
Salary range: $67K–$85K (not hourly, despite contract label)
INFLUENCER MARKETING
Associate Contracts Manager, Social & Influencer (Contract)
This is a high-volume influencer contracts role, not a general corporate contracts position.
What actually matters here:
You’ll be managing creator-side agreements at scale (talent, licensing, NDAs, SOWs), not just client MSAs
Heavy use of Ironclad — they expect you to already be fluent in CLM workflows and redlining
This is a strong fit if you’ve already:
Worked in agency, entertainment, or social-first environments where speed matters
Negotiated talent or licensing terms and understand FTC + usage nuances
Been the calm middle layer between legal, ops, and creative teams
Need to know:
~90-day coverage
$30–$36/hr
RESTAURANT TECH
Recruiter (Contract)
What stands out immediately:
They have 8 roles to fill in ~90 days across engineering, data, marketing, and CS — real volume, real urgency
You’re owning both ops + light full-cycle work
Contract is open-ended with a realistic path to full-time late
Need to know:
$80–$100/hr
~20 hrs/week, open-ended
Fast-growing restaurant tech company with real brand names already on the customer list
PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Social Media Content Creator (Contract)
What jumps out:
You’re creating recurring monthly content for ~15 clients
Heavy emphasis on visual execution (motion, GIFs, short video), not just captions
Content lives in policy-adjacent, renewable energy, and advocacy spaces
This fits someone who:
Has already managed multiple client calendars at once
Is comfortable designing and writing
Understands how to communicate in serious, mission-driven spaces without sounding corporate or activist-for-clicks
Need to know:
Hourly, 1099, US-based
$50–$75/hr
Ongoing, recurring monthly work (not a one-off)
💰 My FAVORITE Way to Earn Extra 💲
As a mom of four (under age 12), family vacations can be pricey. Add the rising costs of traveling and groceries and it’s easy to see why it feels impossible to do annually.
In 2022, I decided to create an income stream to make traveling groceries easier. That’s when I learned about market research.
I applied for opportunities while in car pool lines or getting stuck in traffic. And as someone who loves sharing my thoughts on products, experiences, or brands, market research was a no-brainer.
🙌 User Interviews helped me earn more than $3K! I was able to pay for a trip to Disney and reduce my monthly grocery budget.
